Women’s studies programs are interdisciplinary courses that examine women’s roles in societies, cultures and socioeconomic classes. Students may learn about feminist theories, multiculturalism, social justice, critical theory, queer theory and politics to fully understand the representation of women in race, gender, politics and religions.

In order to improve job prospects and learn more specialized information, many students decide to earn an undergraduate degree, such as a Bachelor of Arts. Certain schools allow students to earn a BA on a flexible schedule through online or part-time programs.
