The program Police Studies Is intended for the Police Service of Cyprus and is addressed to Graduates of the Police Academy.
In an age of rapidly changing rates and great needs for modern security and protection of the citizen, the Two years this program Aims to offer to the members of the Police new knowledge, skills and practices with a European orientation, complementing, expanding and updating, as the case may be, the knowledge already acquired during their studies at the Police Academy of Cyprus.
To obtain a degree in Police Studies, students must follow and complete successfully Twelve (12) six-month Thematic Modules (total 120 ECTS) At the Open University of Cyprus.
Structure of the Programme
The Thematic Modules of the Upgrade Programme of the Police Academy are divided into introductory classes. And HE Specialization. For the selection of some students Specialization, successful completion of other thematic units is required.
Students are initially watching 8 compulsory thematic units (8X10 ECTS). With the completion of the compulsory thematic units, Students can choose Either a program only by tracking topic modules (4 specialties x 10 ECTS) Either a combination of 2 GB. Specialization (10 ECTS each) And elaboration of dissertation work (Equivalent to 2 ECTS or 20 ECTS).

Admission RequirementsA prerequisite for entering the Programme is the possession of a Diploma of the Cyprus Police Academy and a good knowledge of the English language for studying international literature.
