The Doctorate program in environmental entrepreneurship is offered at the Department of Environmental Management and Entrepreneurship of the Faculty of Economics at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv - Open University. Research fields for environmental entrepreneurship doctorate program include methodological and theoretical principles of environmental entrepreneurship and trade and logistics activities. Another important research area is the innovative development of entrepreneurial activities. A Doctorate project for research in environmental entrepreneurship will focus on discovering determinants in full detail along with processes of sustainable action as entrepreneurs. There is an urgent need in the last few years to study determinants and the results of entrepreneurial action. The thesis will have to dwell on the processes and the dynamics of sustainable entrepreneurship and the role played by government institutions and private companies in either motivating or restricting such kind of action. The sustainability concept is considered as a crucial one for management research and especially in environmental entrepreneurship. The curriculum teaches candidates that entrepreneurship has become an ideal solution to environmental degradation and inequality in society. This subject is a relatively new field of research studies and it explores the role played by entrepreneurs in sustaining ecosystems and natural resources while offering economic gains for investors and societies. During the last decade, scholars in environmental entrepreneurship have submitted over eighty articles in management journals in entrepreneurship. Most of these published papers cover qualitative, theoretical and conceptual subjects to strike a relationship between entrepreneurship and the sustainable environment.
