This Ontario college graduate certificate program provides the theoretical and practical experience to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) in Canada and abroad. Course content includes language teaching, learning, pedagogical theories and methodologies, grammar, phonetics and phonology, lesson planning skills, language and culture, assessment, and evaluation. The theory is applied through observations and practice teaching ESL classes.

Due to the increasing demand for administrators in retirement communities, Centennial College offers the Retirement Communities Management program with the support of the Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority (RHRA) and Ontario Retirement Communities Association (ORCA). Retirement homes in Ontario are regulated under the Retirement Homes Act, only RHRA licenses retirement homes and the majority of licensed homes are ORCA members.
