Computer engineering focuses on the design, analysis and application of computers and on their applications as components of systems. The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Texas A&M sustains and strengthens its teaching and research program to provide students with inspiration and quality education in the theory and practice of computer engineering. Research areas include digital integrated circuit design, computer architecture and computer networks.

- One hour of seminar is allowed (ECEN/CSCE 681) but is NOT required.
- No more than 3 hours of ECEN 681, 684 and 685.
- A report is required in at least one of the ECE or CSE courses.**
